The accident happened after 6am and the Loop could be shut down until 1-2pm today.
All traffic is being forced off the Loop at Evergreen on the northbound side. Authorities shut down the exit ramp from the Southwest Freeway to the southbound lanes of the West Loop just after 7am. Traffic is backed up for miles right.
Emergency and HazMat crews are on the scene. According to TxDOT, the truck is hauling methanol. Crews are not sure if the methanol or diesel fuel is leaking at this time. The truck is badly damaged and will have to be off-loaded before it can be uprighted.
According to the Bellaire Police Department, the driver is conscious and breathing. His condition is unknown at this time.
Authorities say there was no other vehicle involved in the accident.
Aside from the 610 Loop closure, officials have also closed Westpark Drive in both directions.
