Investigators say they were called to the scene in the 13200 block of Wayside and Almeda Genoa at around noon Wednesday. The body appeared to be decomposing.
Police say a citizen was doing work on a nearby property when he discovered a male's decomposed body. According to police, it is unknown how long the body had been in the field.
The male was wearing tan pants, black slip-on shoes and a brown belt. There was a maroon T-shirt lying next to him.
The identity of the male, who suffered no apparent signs of trauma, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
