A routine stop of a speeding car led to a police chase and a 10-hour standoff at a West Texas house that ended peacefully with three suspects in custody.

A Texas Department of Public Safety statement Tuesday says the suspects are two men from Oklahoma City and a 16-year-old boy from Edmondson, Okla. No injuries were reported.

The statement says the episode began early Monday when a DPS trooper stopped a sport utility vehicle for traveling 109 mph on Interstate 20 near Colorado City. The driver stopped, fired three shots at the trooper and sped away.

The DPS says the SUV was found abandoned, but information later led to a Colorado City house. Officers surrounded the house and, after a 10-hour standoff, entered and took the three into custody.
