Harris County sues SW Houston apartment complex over criminal activity

HOUSTON

The county is suing Point at the Southwest, an apartment complex on Keegan's Ridge. The lawsuit claims the complex harbors criminal activity, drug offenses, and robberies.

Between May of 2010 and April of this year police have responded to over 300 calls for service at that complex alone.

The lawsuit asks a court to make the owner of the complex hire additional security, install surveillance video, and improve lighting, among other things.

We've reached out to the owner of the complex, but have not yet heard a response.
