Two children, two women injured in head-on collision near Dayton

Two children and two adult were seriously injured in a two-vehicle wreck near Dayton.

The wreck happened Thursday evening on FM 1008 at CR 647.

A vehicle traveling northbound on FM 1008 failed to yield the right of way to a white Ford pickup truck heading southbound, and the two collided head-on, according to DPS.

The pickup truck was carrying two adult females and two kids, ages three and seven. One of those adults and both kids were thrown from the truck.

All four were transported via LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The driver of the other vehicle will be ticketed.
