According to officials, the nine-month-old boy died Friday after being struck by a television set.
The accident happened around 12:30pm Thursday at an apartment in the 2700 block of Perez Road.
Investigators said the child's mother left him alone for just a second while she brushed her teeth in the bathroom.
She heard a bang, ran back into the room and found her son under a 69-pound TV.
The boy was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he later died, officials said.
