Coming up: Titanic Tales at Lincoln Center

NEW YORK The performance, which takes place at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center as part of the Target Free Thursdays series, follows the survivors of the Titanic's tragic maiden voyage through the highs and lows of that fateful night.

"Titanic Tales" is part theater, part concert, part history. Poignant firsthand accounts illustrate how great danger can bring out the best -- and sometimes the worst -- in people. The remarkable recollections of actual survivors (taken from testimony given at the U.S. Senate Hearings and British Board Inquiry) are evocatively complemented by live music as played by the ship's legendary band. A blend of popular song, light classics and ragtime conjure the atmosphere and elegance of life aboard the ship.

Admission is free. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center is located at Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets. For more information, including an updated calendar of performances and programs at the atrium, visit LincolnCenter.org/Atrium.
