Michael Anthony Gonzalez, 17, is charged with making a false alarm or report.
Court documents state that the fire alarm went off at Robert E. Lee High School on Wednesday and the school was evacuated. The alarm was not a drill, and the school's principal told the Baytown Fire Department a pull station in the auditorium foyer was activated.
Officials say surveillance video shows Gonzalez and another person tampering with the alarm and fleeing out the door.
The Baytown Fire Department responded to the school. Wednesday was a state-mandated test day.
Bail has been set at $2,000.
