Hit-and-run kills local mom, reward offered

A hit-and-run driver killed a young Fort Bend County mother, and officials are offering a reward for information that helps them make an arrest.

On October 21 around 11pm, Tiffaney Hilder of Rosenberg was walking to her car on F.M. 2759 at Jones River Rd. in Booth when she was hit by a white truck.

The 27-year-old was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital where doctors fought to save her life.

Hilder, a caregiver at a Rosenberg day care center, died Friday. She leaves behind a 4-year-old son.

The driver who struck Hilder did not stop.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS. All tipsters remain anonymous and could be eligible for a $5,000 reward.
