Members of the Muslim community in Houston held a blood drive to honor the victims of 9-11.

Houston Mayor Annise Parker was one of several to donate blood at the drive in north Houston yesterday. The effort is part of a nationwide campaign called 'Muslims for Life.' Their goal is to collect 10,000 units of blood to save 30,000 lives.

Houston is one of 50 cities across the nation participating in the month-long campaign.
