Attempted armored car robbery in NW Houston

HOUSTON

The incident happened at 17195 Tomball Parkway, not too far from Willowbrook Mall. Police say at around 11:20am, two male suspects with faces covered exchanged gunfire with a security guard. The suspects fled the scene in a Dodge Intrepid.

We're told the armored car was in the process of making a delivery to a Sprint store when the attempted robbery happened.

There were no reports of any injuries, police say.
