Man found fatally shot near TSU campus

HOUSTON The man was found shot to death around 11pm Sunday. His body was discovered on a sidewalk on Ennis and Rosedale. It's not clear if he was killed there or if his body was left on the sidewalk.

Police say a TSU police officer was driving home from work when he heard a woman screaming. The officer stopped to investigate and discovered the victim lying dead on the sidewalk. The officer then notified HPD's Homicide Division.

The victim, Silas Albert, 22, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no known motive nor suspects in the shooting at this time, according to police.
