Two dead in Dallas shooting over towing

DALLAS, TX Police say a tow truck driver and his partner were looking for cars parked in illegally in the apartment's lot early Friday when a gunman emerged and began shooting, striking the passenger of the tow truck.

The truck's driver, who was also armed, then got out and shot the gunman.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the dead.

KDFW-TV of Dallas-Fort Worth reports that the gunman was visiting the apartment complex and was upset that his car had been towed a few hours earlier.

Police are investigating.
