Pechal told The Associated Press that the fire site originally was identified as a recycling facility operated by Temple Iron and Metal Co. Pechal says it was later determined that the fire, which broke out Thursday night, happened at the Forta facility located on Temple Iron and Metal property.
He says the area that burned is a storage facility for bulk laminate, which is commonly used to make countertops.
