Fugitive wanted on multiple warrants

Police are searching for a fugutive wanted on several warrants, and they are hoping the public can help them locate the man before he injures himself or someone else. James Curtis Lee is wanted for three felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants.

Lee has two felony warrants for evading arrest or detention in a motor vehicle and one for burglary of a habitation. He also has misdemeanor warrants for possession of marijuana and assault of a family member, records state.

Officials said in both cases of evading arrest in a motor vehicle, officers tried to stop Lee for traffic violations, but he refused. He had an unsecured infant in the car with him as he fled from police on one occasion, according to investigators.

Lee was able to escape from police both times, leaving behind the occupants of the vehicle he was driving.

Lee's last known address is near the 1100 block of Steamboat Springs Dr. in north Houston. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

All tipsters remain anonymous and could be eleigible for a reward of up to $5,000.
