Two men have been convicted over the 2008 shooting death of a Central Texas apartment complex manager. Prosecutors in Belton did not seek the death penalty as 23-year-old Andre Hamilton and 19-year-old Derrick Lewis were convicted Tuesday of capital murder. Both get automatic life prison terms.

Jamie Lujan Jr. was gunned down at the Temple complex where a maintenance man days earlier pointed out a car to a constable, who had a warrant for Lewis. A passenger was arrested on a weapons charge.

Testimony revealed that Lewis was in an apartment and saw the arrest. The car was driven by Hamilton. Lewis was 16 at the time of the slaying, but was tried as an adult.

Another man who pleaded guilty in October also received a life prison term.
