Troopers say a car driven by 17-year-old Beonce Hobson of Checotah was southbound at an unsafe speed when it hit a disabled pickup that was partially in the roadway. They say the impact moved the pickup, pinning Sirois between it and a guardrail. Troopers say he was wearing a reflective traffic vest and had his badge and firearm visible at the time of the accident.
Sirois was pronounced dead at a Eufaula hospital. No one else suffered injuries in the accident.
