Police investigating fatal shooting of 16-year-old boy
HOUSTON
Police say Jose Flores was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the 4300 block of North Shepherd about 11:45pm when he was shot. The shooting happened after an unknown suspect and the driver of the vehicle Flores was riding in got into a verbal altercation while stopped at the red light at North Shepherd and Crosstimbers.
Flores, 16, suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.
The suspect is described only as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, medium complexion, thin build (about 140 pounds), with corn rows in his hair and diamond stud earrings in each ear. He was driving in a silver or gray Buick, possibly a Le Sabre, late 1990s model with tinted windows and a paper plate with unknown numbers.
