Inmate briefly escapes from Galveston jail
GALVESTON, TX
The Galveston County Sheriff's Department says an inmate tried to sneak out of the Galveston County Jail while another inmate was being released on Wednesday.
Authorities say Christopher Anderson ran through the jail lobby and out the front doors with deputies chasing him. He made it just a few blocks before he was arrested again.
Anderson was originally behind bars on charges of evading arrest and assaulting a public servant. He's now facing new charges of trying to escape from custody.
