High water blocking some freeway lanes

HOUSTON Officials with TxDOT are requesting the Gulf Freeway HOV lane be shut down, due to high water at Telephone Road. The HOV lane is said to be impassable.

Other areas that have reportedly been impacted include:

• Northbound Spur 5 on ramp to I-45 Gulf Freeway - Flooding blocking all lanes
• I-45 northbound at I-610 South Loop - Flooding blocking one left main lane and one shoulder lane
• I-10 westbound at Lockwood - High water on freeway, but not impassable
• Highway 59 southbound at I-610 North Loop - High water on road, but not impassable
• I-45 at Tidwell - Reports of high water
