Congressman Al Green hosts health fair
HOUSTON
The adults lined up for blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, while kids received back-to-school immunizations and toothbrushes.
Congressman Al Green organized the health fair at Westbury High School.
He said good health care helps everyone, not just the sick.
"We want young children who may have a disease, and God forbid that it happens but it does," Green said. "We don't want these children to go to school with other children and cause other children to acquire the disease."
Green added preventative screenings at health fairs can catch problems before they turn into expensive emergency room visits.
