An old Houston fire station now has a special distinction. It's an official Texas Historical marker. Community leaders, including Mayor Annise Parker, joined yesterday for the dedication ceremony off Avenue F in southeast Houston. Back in 1923, the building was originally set up as Magnolia Park's City Hall. The facility later became Fire Station 20 after Houston annexed Magnolia Park.

Since 1973, the old fire station has been used as a community center.
