Suspect charged after woman's body found in field

HOUSTON Ruben Escobedo Juarez, 41, is accused in the death of the unidentified female, believed to be between 40 and 50 years of age. Her identity and cause of death are pending an autopsy and notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Police say on June 25 officers were flagged down by a citizen who discovered the remains of an unknown female lying in the woods, near the 6100 block of Frisco.

An investigation and witness statements identified Juarez as the suspect in this case. He was arrested on June 28 without incident and admitted to his involvement in the victim's death.
