Accused sex predator captured near TX-LA border

HOUSTON Daniel Victor Beasley, 44, was arrested without incident around 11am Friday morning by Newton County Sheriff's Office. He is now in their custody, awaiting extradition.

Beasley allegedly made the threats against law enforcement officers after he was charged in Houston with indecency with a child and a warrant was issued in March for his arrest, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. As a result, a retaliation charge against him also was filed in May.
