Clues sought in mysterious shooting from year ago

HOUSTON On March 20, 2009, Bell was driving in the 5700 block of Fondren at approximately 2:30am when his car left the road and struck another vehicle waiting to exit a parking lot. Bell's car then struck several small trees and sign poles before coming to a stop.

According to Crime Stoppers, Bell told arriving Houston Fire Department personnel "I've been shot" before losing consciousness. He was cut from his car with the jaws of life and transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:16am. Hospital personnel discovered a gunshot wound near Mr. Bell's left armpit area.

Anyone with any information on this case or who might have witnessed it is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
