"She is very concerned for the family of the little girl, very concerned, more about the victim than her situation," said Buchala's attorney Earl Musick. "Right now she is following all of my advice. … I've advised her not to talk to the family."
Buchala is out on bond. She's the wife of a Houston police officer, but the department says it did not give her any preferential treatment. HPD also says her husband reported the incident according to its policy.
