How to protect yourself from ID theft

Use caution when using your debit/credit card to purchase items/products from websites with the word "cheap" as part of the web address. Your personal information could be sold to the highest bidder.
If you think you can get something for nothing, in all likelihood it's a scam.
Keep in mind, anytime you give your personal information over the internet, you are leaving a digital thumbprint for a possible suspect.
Check your bank accounts/credit card balances daily.
