Six different fire departments worked together to put out a fire at a shopping center in northeast Harris County overnight. It happened on Homestead near Winfield around 3:30am. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames coming from the roof of the shopping center. They pulled a second alarm and quickly put out the fire.

The shopping center was empty except for a car stereo store. At least half of the building was destroyed. There's no word yet on how it started.
