Galveston Housing Authority to rebuild Ike-damaged homes
GALVESTON, TX
On Monday night, the board voted unanimously to replace 569 homes destroyed in the storm. The four public housing developments wrecked by Hurricane Ike have been demolished. The new plan calls for 360 homes to be built on the original four sites. The rest of the new homes will be scattered all over the island.
