Henson said each of the three was shot in the head about 7 p.m. Sunday at the mobile home near Lufkin, 115 miles northeast of Houston. A relative of Wilson's who spoke to Wilson before the shootings told sheriff's deputies that Zumwalt had called Wilson earlier.
"They had had sex without him being there, is what the girlfriend told him on the telephone," Henson told The Associated Press.
Henson had no record of an attorney for Wilson.
The sheriff said Zumwalt tried to call the sheriff's department for help during the shootings but the call never went through.
"The girlfriend had dialed the sheriff's office number, it was dialed on the telephone," Henson said. He said there was evidence those at the home had been drinking.
A teenager discovered the victims Sunday night and called for help.
Wilson was arrested at another relative's home and a gun was recovered, the sheriff said.
