Seven boaters rescued from Gulf

GALVESTON, TX A Coast Guard statement Saturday said the vessel, Missin' Link, homeported in Freeport, Texas, sent out an alert Friday night.

The Eighth Coast Guard District command center in New Orleans sent out broadcasts asking mariners to assist and then activated rescue operations.
