Moody Gardens plans major makeover

GALVESTON, TX Moody Gardens is about to begin a $25 million project to renovate the rainforest pyramid. The pyramid will close October 5 while crews work to build a new entrance, new walkway and make repairs to damage caused by Hurricane Ike. They're also adding new plants and wildlife including birds, fish and butterflies.

The attraction will reopen in time for the 2010 summer vacation season, but the full project won't be completed for another two years.
