The 2009 Free Night of Theater kicks off in 120 cities around the country including Houston. Two thousand free seats will be given away by 19 local theater organizations. Be sure to write down this date: October 5 at 10am. That's when tickets will be available for performances through October 18. The list of Houston shows include: Theatre Under the Stars' production of "Meet Me In St. Louis" and the Houston Ballet's "Without Boundaries." Want a free night out? Sheraton Hotels is offering thousands of guests a free night's stay in dozens of North American locations including here in Houston. It's part of a massive campaign that kicks off Wednesday to highlight the chain's $6 billion renovation. The deal is available for overnight stays on Friday, October 23 and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis through the company's web site here. The Sheraton Brookhollow Hotel on the North Loop is participating.

Organizers with the Austin City Limits Music Festival are offering 16 free iTunes to download from various artists, all of whom will be performing at the upcoming festival. The free download offer is good through October 31 on the ACL Festival's web site here.
