The 34-year-old Hamilton had hoped to follow the footsteps of his father, George Hamilton, a previous competitor on the program. But the younger Hamilton and his professional partner, Edyta Sliwinska, failed to make it past the first foxtrot. He came into Wednesday's results show tied for last place with just 19 points out of 40.
Gray also scored 19 points Tuesday. Judges admired her unique dance style, but she and professional partner Jonathan Roberts landed in last place.
Viewer votes are combined with judges' scores to determine which contestants are eliminated each week.
