Flooding briefly shuts down I-35

AUSTIN, TX John Hurt, a spokesman with the Texas Department of Transportation, said about three miles of I-35 between the towns of Jarrell and Prairie Dell were shut down for about an hour Friday afternoon. State troopers were on the scene directing slow-moving traffic and access roads remained closed.

Central Texas, suffering from severe drought conditions, has been getting heavy rains over the last two days, prompting flash flood warnings in Williamson and Bell counties.
