Man accused of holding raves at empty homes

SAN MARCOS, CA Jovan Araujo, a 21-year-old San Marcos man, remains jailed Thursday after pleading not guilty to two felony counts each of burglary and vandalism.

Fallbrook sheriff's Detective Jeff Lauhon contends that Araujo and his friends found secluded million-dollar homes that were for sale or in foreclosure.

Prosecutors claim they set up all-night raves advertised on MySpace.

Authorities say teenagers paid $5 each and left some homes trashed.
