Woman killed, man wounded outside cafe

HOUSTON The shooting happened around 2:30am outside the Love of 1970 Cafe at 6163 Wilcrest. Police say a man was leaving the club when he got into an argument with an unknown male suspect, who was accompanied by the female victim, at the entrance of the cafe. The suspect shot the male victim twice and he fell to the ground. The female knelt down to give the victim aid when she was also shot twice by the suspect.

The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the male victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he is expected to recover from his injuries. The woman's identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, about 5'7", weighing 160 pounds with a round face. He was wearing a dark blue long-sleeved shirt and blue or black jeans.
