Police: Combative man dies after being cuffed

HOUSTON The Houston Fire Department was called to help a man reportedly having a mental crisis at around 10pm at Irvington at Sadler. But officials say the patient became combative and started threatening paramedics.

Police were called in and managed to handcuff the patient and then Houston paramedics realized he had no pulse. The handcuffs were removed and paramedics started CPR. They took him to the hospital where he later died.
