Conroe fire marshal faces charges

CONROE, TX Ron Hyde was later released on bond. Authorities say the charges against Hyde stem from an investigation connected to Hyde's actions as a member of the Shenandoah City Council.

Hyde will remain on active duty with the Conroe Fire Department. Conroe Fire Chief Ken Kreger has restricted Hyde to administrative duties. Hyde will take no law enforcement action in his capacity as fire marshall until the charges are resolved.
