Chad Huffman, a graduate of Elkins High School, went deep five times in the final round to top Shelley Duncan and claim the derby title. Huffman plays for the Portland Beavers, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.

Huffman led the six Triple-A contestants with seven homers in the first round and added three more in the second round to qualify for the finals, where he hit five to win the crown. Huffman takes home $1,000 in cash, a brand-new HP laptop courtesy of Best Buy and a hand-crafted wooden Home Run Derby championship trophy.

Huffman was a late entry to the derby, replacing Fresno's John Bowker, who was recalled by the San Francisco Giants on Saturday.
