Jazz legend Huey Long buried in Houston

HOUSTON Funeral services for jazz guitarist Huey Long were held here in Houston. The Sealy native, who was 105 years old, started his musical career playing the banjo. He later joined the Frank Davis Louisiana Jazz Band in the 1930s.

Long moved to New York in 1943 and joined the famous Ink Spots, who influenced doo-wop groups and the first R&B artists.
