Fire at historic Dallas hotel under control

DALLAS, TX Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Ernest Gurule says the fire was under control less than 40 minutes after it broke out Monday morning. He says a 49-year-old was treated for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.

Dallas Fire-Rescue investigators were trying to determine the cause of the fire and whether it started in the laundry room.

The Adolphus opened in 1912. The hotel's Web site says it has hosted the likes of Queen Elizabeth II, U2 and Oscar de la Renta.
