U.S. military says 4 American soldiers killed in a suicide car bombing in northern Iraq. The military says three soldiers were killed at the site and another died later of wounds from the explosion in the city of Mosul.

A statement says an interpreter also died of wounds suffered in Monday's attack.

At least 4,243 members of the U.S. military have died in the Iraq war since it began in March 2003. That's according to an Associated Press count.
