Police: Driver racing loses control, crashes

HOUSTON Authorities say a Saturn was racing down Westheimer when the driver tried to change lanes and lost control. The car slammed into a telephone pole.

The driver suffered head trauma and started having seizures. He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.

The car's interior was stripped down and had a nitrous oxide tank for racing.
