Suspect accused in several crimes

HOUSTON The alleged carjacking victim from this past weekend is seven and a half months pregnant. She never expected to come face to face with an armed suspect. Claudia Reyes says she still has nightmares about what happened to her on Saturday.

The expectant mother just happened to be passing near Mercer Park when she says Jones fired a shot at her car. Fearing for her life, she stopped. That's when she says Jones jumped into her vehicle completely naked and then drove off. She says she was in the car with the armed suspect for about 15 minutes before Jones let her go.

"I see him when he comes," a tearful Reyes said in Spanish. "And he just appears. When he shot at me, I still see him."

Jones had been wanted on aggravated sexual assault charges. The 19-year-old is accused of kidnapping a woman from an Atascocita car wash last month and forcing her to perform sexual acts. She says she was held for 16 days before Jones let her go.

Jones was already facing aggravated assault charges for shooting two men back in 2007. That happened outside an Atascocita convenience store.

"What that says about this individual is that he is very reckless and very dangerous to society and he needs to be taking off the streets," said Captain Mark Herman with the Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

Jones was arrested after someone turned him in on an open warrant. We're told Jones was on the top ten most wanted list on the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force. No bond has been set. He's due in court on Tuesday.
