LEWISTON, ME The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing in central Maine will open March 31st. It'll offer education and support programs for cancer patients and their families.
Dempsey also plans to take part in the center's public education campaign about cancer prevention and detection. He provided the seed grant for the new center.
His mother was successfully treated for ovarian cancer at the hospital where the center is located.
