Astros extend contracts with Hooks, Express

The Houston Astros on Friday agreed to two-year contract extensions with their minor league affiliates in Round Rock and Corpus Christi.Both player development contracts now run through 2010.

Round Rock is entering its fourth season as Houston's Triple-A team and its ninth overall.

The franchise has drawn more than 5.4 million fans since 2000, the third-best total in the minor leagues.

Double-A Corpus Christi is in its fourth year after averaging nearly 500,000 fans per season its first three years.
