Authorities believe drugs were involved in a deadly shooting at a northeast Harris County home Harris County sheriff's deputies got a call from a payphone about a shooting at a home on Laurelton near Atascocita around 9pm. They went into the open home and discovered blood stains. Later, authorities say two shooting victims from that scene were in a hospital. One later died.

Investigators then tracked down a man and woman who had made that call from a payphone. They're believed to be residents of the home where the shootings happened.

"It does not appear to be a home invasion at this time," said Sgt. Bryan Pair with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "Apparently, they met here. They somehow know the individuals involved, but to what extent we don't know at this time."

Those residents were taken in for questioning.
