Police: A man hit and killed by two hit-and-run drivers in NE Houston was running from his own accident scene

Police are investigating a deadly double hit-and-run accident in northeast Houston

A man who tried to run away from his own accident scene in northeast Houston was then struck and killed by two hit-and-run drivers.

According to police, the man lost control and crashed his car into a concrete barrier while traveling east on the East Freeway near McCarty around 11:30pm.

For some reason, he reportedly jumped out of the vehicle and tried to run across the freeway.

Police said two vehicles hit the man at high speeds, killing him instantly.

Neither of those vehicles stopped.

Investigators interviewed witnesses and are searching for both of those hit-and-run drivers.
