Samuel Mancillas was arrested and charged with arson in connection to the case.
Authorities say around 1:45pm, the Channelview Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1100 block of Pennygent Lane and found smoke billowing out of a two-story house.
After the fire was extinguished, investigators determined the fire was intentionally set.
"A short while later investigators located the suspect Samuel Mancillas walking along a street and he confessed that he set the fire because he was angry at his sister," said Lt. Dean Hensley with the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.
No one was injured in the fire.
Mancillas was transported to the Harris County Jail.
